Caregiver with Dementia Experience $17/hr | Part-Time to Full-Time | Driver Required

Home Helpers of Bergen County is hiring a compassionate and experienced caregiver familiar with dementia and Alzheimers care . This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with the skills and heart to support seniors living with memory loss.

Position Details:

• Availability: Part-time to Full-time (flexible schedule)

• Pay: $17-$18 per hour

• Location: Bergen County, NJ (specific placement based on availability)

• Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Provide supportive companionship and structure for clients with dementia or Alzheimers

• Assist with daily routines , including meals, light housekeeping, and personal care

• Offer gentle reminders and cues to help manage memory-related challenges

• Drive clients to appointments, errands, and safe outings
  
  
• Ensure a calm, patient, and engaging environment tailored to the clients needs

Requirements:

• Previous experience with dementia/Alzheimers clients (required)

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

• Patient, understanding, and observant personality

• Ability to follow a structured care plan and work independently

• CHHA certification preferred but not required
