Job Title: Detailer/Modeler

Location: Decatur AL/Hazleton PA

Duration: FTE

Basic Job Functions:

• Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:
• Read and understand transmission line drawings and project specifications
• Prepare accurate 3D models and corresponding erection and shop detail drawings using Autodesk Inventor and/or BluestarPLM software
• Collaborate with structural engineers to implement product design into the model and drawings
• Utilize internal detailing practices and understand specific customer needs
• Consistently meet project deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with teammates and customers
• Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Work overtime when required to meet commitments
• Travel may be required but infrequent
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree, certification, training, and/or experience in drafting/modeling/detailing field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise using Autodesk Inventor software, also will consider SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or Creo experience
• Competency using Bluestar PLM or PLS-CADD software
• Utility structures industry experience
• Experience developing and/or maintaining drafting standards or library
