Sunbelt Rental s is seeking a  Strategic Sales Representative  to lead business development for our  Industrial Heat division  in the  Bismarck, ND  region. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role focused on strategic accounts, relationship building, and revenue growth. The sales territory is roughly from Bismarck, ND in the South to Minot, ND in the North and the Montana border to the West. This is very much a field sales role,  not  an office-based position. You must be comfortable being in the elements year-round in ND when going to client work sites.

  • Competitive base salary of $80,000 – $90,000/year, plus uncapped commission structure. Successful first year Strategic Sales Representatives can make $120k-$140k (including commission).

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Develop and grow strategic customer relationships with high-value clients and job sites

  • Serve as a mentor to the local Outside Sales Rep (OSR) team

  • Make field and office visits to identify customer needs and upcoming projects

  • Collaborate on bids and proposals to win large-scale opportunities

  • Resolve customer issues related to contracts, billing, service, and equipment

  • Onboard new corporate accounts and ensure satisfaction post-sale

  • Coordinate with regional leadership (PCM, DM, RSD, RVP) on sales strategy and execution

  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist with issue resolution

 

What We’re Looking For:


  • Minimum 4 years B2B sales experience in construction, equipment rental, or oil & gas industries

  • Willing to cover ND sales territory via car and visit client work sites in all kinds of weather, year round

  • If not currently living in ND, willing to relocate with financial assistance

  • Can work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship

  • Track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships

  • At least 21 years old with a valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Knowledge of construction phases and industrial equipment a plus

  • Tech savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
